The mission of Shaening and Associates, Inc. is to improve public policies, programs and services to ultimately enhance the quality of life for all New Mexicans.
We partner with public sector organizations to plan and manage projects using organizational development tools, expert facilitation, and targeted research and evaluation.
Our guiding principles are steeped in our belief in social change, cultural competency, and community collaboration.

History

Founded in 1977, Shaening and Associates, Inc. is a woman owned Consulting Firm, contracting primarily in the public sector. We work closely with our clients to:
• Develop strategic partnerships • Facilitate policy formulation • Assist with program and service development • Design and maintain evaluation systems • Plan and manage programs/projects • Collect and statistically analyze and report data • Provide research on best practices • Develop comprehensive database systems • Provide meeting facilitation and strategic planning
Historically, our clients have included state and local non-profit health and human services organizations, advocacy agencies, and government entities.
Our work spans a variety of disciplines including, public health, emergency preparedness, behavioral health, child welfare, education, primary care, judiciary systems, and criminal justice, often at both the state and local levels. As a result, we have extensive knowledge of how services are organized, funded, and delivered. We have a vast network of contacts and information sources and most importantly, we have an excellent reputation and successful track record.
Shaening and Associates, Inc. has received awards from the United Way (for collaborative leadership), and the New Mexico Bar Association (for non-lawyer contributions).
